Reality and the addiction to any one reality is a tissue-thin neurological fragility. At the height of a visionary experience it is crystal-clear that you can change completely. Be an entirely different person. Be any person you choose. It is a moment of rebirth … . It is habit, fear and laziness that keep people from changing after an LSD experience. It’s so much easier to doubt your divinity, drift back to speaking English, wearing ties, playing the old game..

I believe that if people would learn to use LSD’s vision-inducing capability more wisely, under suitable conditions, in medical practice and in conjunction with meditation, then in the future this problem child could become a wonderchild.

People ask me do I regret taking LSD?
My answer is, the two things I regret in my life are -
I should have taken psychedelic drugs more, and I should have made love more..Put that on my tombstone”

“4/19/43 16:20: 0.5 cc of 1/2 promil aqueous solution of diethylamide tartrate orally = 0.25 mg tartrate. Taken diluted with about 10 cc water. Tasteless.
17:00: Beginning dizziness, feeling of anxiety, visual distortions, symptoms of paralysis, desire to laugh.
Supplement of 4/21: Home by bicycle. From 18:00- ca.20:00 most severe crisis. (See special report.)
Here the notes in my laboratory journal cease. I was able to write the last words only with great effort. By now it was already clear to me that LSD had been the cause of the remarkable experience of the previous Friday, for the altered perceptions were of the same type as before, only much more intense.
I had to struggle to speak intelligibly. I asked my laboratory assistant, who was informed of the self-experiment, to escort me home. We went by bicycle, no automobile being available because of wartime restrictions on their use. On the way home, my condition began to assume threatening forms. Everything in my field of vision wavered and was distorted as if seen in a curved mirror. I also had the sensation of being unable to move from the spot. Nevertheless, my assistant later told me that we had traveled very rapidly. Finally, we arrived at home safe and sound, and I was just barely capable of asking my companion to summon our family doctor and request milk from the neighbors.
In spite of my delirious, bewildered condition, I had brief periods of clear and effective thinking — and chose milk as a nonspecific antidote for poisoning. “

This is actually one of the BEST accounts Ive ever heard..Straight from Bear himself.. Everyone interested should take the time to listen to this, its only half an hour..But half an hour of insight into a beautiful and humble soul. <3
“This recording was made on 14 November 2009 at the University of Melbourne at the follow up talks to the outdoor Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) 4 day conference, (6-9 November 2009). The main conference, and this mini EGA follow up event, were both headlined by Bear (Owsley) Stanley and also Bob Jesse from The Council on Spiritual Practices.
The following recording of the Bear, introduced by Martin W and Rak Razam, is an abridged version of a talk scheduled to be released on DVD at the forthcoming EGA conference in December 2011.
This edited talk offers a glimpse of this amazing counter-culture icon, who had a lot more to offer countless generations than he is often given credit for. The Bear was a gifted and highly intelligent individual who went about things his own way. But above all, the Bear was a true artist on many levels, who possessed the drive to create in numerous mediums from sculpture, sound and alchemy - to list just some.
This recording has been released at this reflective time, in memory of the Bear, and offers a unique encounter with a remarkable individual in his later years. Sadly, our dear friend Denis Shaw, the pioneer filmmaker of the EGA DVD series, shared a similar fate to the Bear himself, in that they both died in accidents before their time.
EGA is grateful for the time and energy that the Bear shared with us during his stay with the EGA family. We feel very privileged to have hosted a wise elder of the psychedelic community.”

1950s Housewife LSD Experiment
I love this video because of how honest and open she is. It completely captures the experience in its perfect state. From the realisations of Oneness, to seeing the air and wanting to “talk in technicolour”, it is a beautiful representation of LSD, opposed to what people are taught now.
If only everyone were shown this instead, they could see how even a “normal, everyday” housewife realises the potential of this wonderful molecule.

We always have urged people: Don’t take LSD unless you are very well prepared, unless you are specifically prepared to go out of your mind. Don’t take it unless you have someone that’s very experienced with you to guide you through it. And don’t take it unless you are ready to have your perspective on yourself and your life radically changed, because you’re gonna be a different person, and you should be ready to face this possibility.
