The Patient

Wait it out…
I’m gonna wait it out…
Wait it out...

If there were no rewards to reap,
no embrace to see me through,
this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away, by now….

Gonna wait it out

If there were no desire to heal,
The damaged and broken met along
this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away, by now.

And I still may…
And I still may…

Be patient….

Be patient….

Be patient….

I must keep reminding myself of this..

I must keep reminding myself of this..

I must keep reminding myself of this..

I must keep reminding myself of this..

If there were no rewards to reap,
No embrace to see me through,
this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away by now.
And I still may, and I still may, and I still may, and I may…

Gonna wait it out.
Gonna wait it out.
Wait it out..
Gonna wait it out.

So good to see you once again I thought that you were hiding from me. And you thought that I had run away. Chasing a trail of smoke and reason.Prying open my third eye…

Quote with 107 notes

I think psychedelics play a major part in what we do, but having said that, I feel that if somebody’s going to experiment with those things they really need to educate themselves about them. People just taking the chemicals and diving in without having any kind of preparation about what they’re about to experience tend to have no frame of reference, so they’re missing everything flying by and all these new perspectives. It’s just a waste.

They reach a little bit of spiritual enlightenment, but they end up going, ‘Well, now I need that drug to get back there again.’ The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug

The Patient..

A groan of tedium escapes me, stuttering, fearful.
Is this a test?
It has to be. otherwise I can’t go on…
Draining patience. drain vitality.
This paranoid, paralyzed vampire act’s a little old.

But I’m still right here, giving blood and keeping faith. and I’m still right
Here.
But I’m still right here, giving blood and keeping faith. and I’m still right
Here.

I’m gonna wait it out

If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away by now.

I’m gonna wait it out

If there were no desire to heal
The damaged and broken met along this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away by now.

I still may. and I still may.
Be patient.

I must keep reminding myself of this…

If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through this tedious path I’ve chosen here,
I certainly would’ve walked away by now.
And I still may. and I still may. and I still may.

I’m gonna wait it out.
I’m gonna wait it out.
Gonna wait it out.
Gonna wait it out.

*This song taught me much at various times, helped me through many things in my life and basically just has a wonderful message… *

Watch The Weather Change…?

Do you ever have that feeling that some things just cannot possibly be coincidence? Or you just suddenly start noticing things a lot more than usual?

Its an odd feeling. Wondering if you’re the only one noticing changes going on around you…

My mind is consumed at present by a bunch of unexplainable and seemingly unrelated things, that seem to be part of a whole, of what Terence Mckenna & others would call an acceleration of consciousness…

In the next few months into 2011 an unprecedented amount of psychedelic pioneers are heading to Australia, my home.

- Alex Grey, the most visionary artist to perhaps have ever lived, and certainly the most psychedelic, is heading here for the first time ever. Coming to share his wisdom on divinity, consciousness, art and expression of creativity with us all.

- Shpongle, the worlds most psychedelic group/band are heading here for their first ever full concert performance.

- Tool, the worlds other most psychedelic group, are coming to Australia to spread their message of consciousness expansion to those with open hearts and minds once again.

- DMT: The Spirit Molecule - Is set to be shown in Cinemas around Australia. An unprecedented move that will blast the DMT experience and phenomena into the minds of the general populous.

All these things are occurring in a matter of months and I just can’t help but think back to things I’ve read by Terence, James Redfield, Daniel Pinchbeck etc, who all say the same thing.

Things Are accelerating, towards something… The message of consciousness expansion and our own relationship with each other and this planet are actually being pushed forward with tremendous vigour, and none too soon…

The more minds that are opened to the fallacies of a false and self destructive society and culture the better, and all these things seem to be a part of that..

Perhaps I read too much into things, but either way I’m grateful to be alive, here and now, in this moment and to play a part, however small…

Psychedelic Soundtracks - My Top 6?

Every psychedelic experience usually needs a soundtrack, something fitting the mood and time, as aural soundscapes open up and reveal new and unheard of dimensions, music really can help take you on an incredible journey..

As such, heres my top 6 soundtracks for a psychedelic experience, excuse me if they are cliche at all! Oh, and why six? Because I couldn’t do 5!

6. Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn

One of my all time favourite albums, what could be more fitting for a psychedelic journey than Syd at his best! Starting with the mind melting Astronomy Domine, its not for the feint of heart, but if you persevere you may just find yourself floating blissfully through far away lands..

5. Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?

Perhaps the most psychedelic of all Shpongle albums, pure squelching, bending, warping sounds mixed with harmonious world music melody makes Shpongle one of the best accompaniments for any trip. But Shpongle fans already know this! ;)

4. Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?

Pretty sure not much needs to be said about this, except the first time i listened to it on psychedelics, i finally saw what purple haze really meant as my vision was overcome with kalaidescopic imagery whilst the clouds above morphed into a rainbow coloured dreamscape.. ;)

3. The Doors - LA Woman/Best Of

Reverend Jim, as I like to call him, presiding over any journey inwards is likely to take you by the hand and lead you gloriously through the doors of perception. I can still recall the time we tried, to break on through to the other side…

2. Tool - Lateralus

My all time favourite Tool album, and completely and utterly psychedelic. I have had times where lateralus has litterally ripped open the fabric of reality right in front of me. If its not too heavy for you, Tool is truly delectable food for the mind & soul. Ride the spiral to the end, we may just go where no ones been…

1. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon

As cliche as it may be, until you have sat and listened to this whole album in an altered state, you really haven’t listened to it at all. Every sound is perfectly crafted to resonate with an opening mind, exploding with layers of colour and leaving you breathless. By the time Breathe rolls around, you won’t be able to wipe the smile from your face.. <3

Angels on the sideline, Baffled and confused. Father blessed them all with reason. And this is what they choose… Monkey, killing monkey, killing monkey Over pieces of the ground. Silly monkeys give them thumbs, They forge a blade, And when there’s one they’re bound to divide it, Right in two.

This light is not my own and,
A million light reflections,
Pass over me.
Her source is bright and endless,
