“I continued gazing into the blueness above my head when my consciousness liberated itself from my body and soared through the mountains surrounding us in almost momentary flashes. I made myself open to all the suffering in the world and by the mere action and implication of this thought my consciousness merged with the skies; which at this point was a ocean of pure energy. I had become one with the essence that is everything. No thought, no attachment, no relations. I just was (God, love or whatever you want to call it). It was beyond words or symbols or formulas.”
